Back to the Morse home page Admiralty key - Collection of Chris Pearson, M0JRQ Admiralty key
I got this from George Dobbs, G3RJV, in May 2007
Bencher BY1 - Collection of Chris Pearson, M0JRQ Bencher BY1
I bought this in the spring of 2006
Kent KT1 key - Collection of Chris Pearson, M0JRQ Kent KT1
The first key I bought - I got this new just before starting the foundation course!
American PortaPaddle - Collection of Chris Pearson, M0JRQ PortaPaddle -
Too small and too light: I love this little key!
Schurr Profi 2 - Collection of Chris Pearson, M0JRQ Schurr Profi 2
Once you've used one of these you'll never want to use anything else
  American key American Flameproof key
Part of the collection but used very little - I think it might take a bit of getting used to, this one
Soviet copy of Junkers key - Collection of Chris Pearson, M0JRQ Soviet key based on the German Junkers design - There is another picture with the top open

British Larkspur key Larkspur Morse Key. My daughter bought this for me as a birthday present and, although it's obviously had an eventful life, it's actually a very pleasant key to use!
Soviet mini key R-143 Soviet R-143 key.
Apparently these were made in quantity for Soviet special forces back in the 1980s but never went into service. A large number has recently been found in the Ukrainian factory where they were made. I bought this one straight from the Ukraine. It's very small - see the 20p coin for comparison.
  Type 51 key - M0JRQ

Walters No. 5 KK MKIV - better known as an Air Ministry Type 51.

This type of key was used on the Vulcan bomber and - I have read - was used on the prototype Comet airliner which first flew in 1949, which helps to date this key marque.

WT 8 Amp key - Collection of M0JRQ

WT 8 Amp mounted on a wooden plinth - This is exactly as I acquired the key. The plinth makes it a little high for my liking but it looks good!

This is a Bakelite No 2 Mk III
